You know whether you will have to use plane, train, or automobile. If flying, we recommend flying into the RENO airport and taking the shuttle to South Lake (about 1 hour). No need for a vehicle while up here as there will be plenty - but if you insist I am sure Reno airport has all the usual suspects.

Reno Tahoe Shuttle - for the best way to and from Reno airport to South Lake Tahoe. Kids under 12 free. Others are $30 Round trip. Leaves approximately every hour from the airport. 1 hour 45 minute ride through beautiful country.
